German milkers have been terribly precise with regard to the milk production in February 2019. This differs slightly from the milk receipt in the second month of 2018. What this means for the rest of the season is unclear.
The milk receipt in February amounts to 2.535.280 tons. That is exactly 2.340 tons less than last year (-0,09%). This makes that the milk productione is again approaching the level of 2018. In recent months, the German milk supply has been below the level of the previous year. For example, the supply in January 2019 amounted to more than 2,75 million tons, a decrease of 1,3% compared to the first month of 2018.
Recovering phase?
The 'pünktlichkeit' in milk production in February may indicate that the German milk supply is recovering. The first signals received about production in March also indicate this. Over the past month, milk supply has again risen above the level of March 2018, reports statistics agency ZMB.
