Zuivelcoöperatie FrieslandCampina bought 2 company and sold 1 company in just 1 days. The dairy giant announced in a press release on Wednesday 17 April that it is selling Creamy Creation. It is striking that 1 day later it reports that it will take over W. Bakker Kaashandel.
FrieslandCampina sells Creamy Creation in Rijkevoort, a producer of alcoholic cream liqueurs, to the investment company Wagram Equity Partners. The company also has a sales office in Paramus (United States). The company has 84 employees.
Creamy Creation continues to focus on the development and sale of cream liqueurs. The company was less suitable for FrieslandCampina Ingredients, because the cooperative group focuses more on nutritional and functional solutions with its ingredients portfolio. The 2 parties have also agreed that Wagram will produce canned cream for FrieslandCampina in Rijkevoort.
Cheese trader is bought up
FrieslandCampina reports 1 day later (Thursday 18 April) that it has concluded a deal in the cheese. W. Bakker Kaashandel, which specializes in cutting and packaging cheese, will be integrated into the Zijerveld subsidiary.
According to FrieslandCampina, cutting and packaging cheese fits in well with the service provided to large retail chains. "The cutting and packaging activities of W. Bakker Kaashandel fit in with our ambition to serve our customers even better," said Sander Koutstaal, Zijerveld's director, in a statement. The dairy reports that the approximately 80 employees have been informed about the acquisition.
Nothing has been disclosed about either acquisition.
