Cono and Vreugdenhil do not alter the price

With an annual supply of 800.000 kilos of milk, with standard Dutch components, Vreugdenhil's basic milk price is €32,06 per 100 kilos. In addition, premiums can be earned for grazing (€1,50) and sustainability (€0,60).

In an explanation, Vreugdenhil states that exports are somewhat quieter this month, given that Ramadan has started in various Islamic countries. In the run-up to the fasting month, Vreugdenhil was able to sell more milk powder; especially as an ingredient for yoghurt products, because they are currently popular 

Milk price Cono
Cono keeps the milk price stable in April for the fourth month in a row at €35,55 per 100 kilos, based on an annual supply of 800.000 kilos of milk. The cheesemaker from the Beemsterpolder is so far the only processor who has not yet adjusted the milk price this year. The price of Cono therefore follows the relatively stable price developments of recent months on the dairy market.

Cheese prices are now rising again; For example, the DCA quotation for Gouda increased this week by €0,03 to €3,01 per kilo. The price of Edam increased by €0,04 to €2,95 per kilo. Cono mainly sells branded cheeses and is therefore less sensitive to price movements of commodity cheeses.
