Milk prices are predominantly red in the second quarter. Following on from other dairy farmers, Bel Leerdammer is also implementing a reduction in May. A-ware keeps the milk price stable for June, after it was lowered last month.
Bel Leerdammer reduces both the fat and protein prices by €0,10 per kilo, bringing them to €3,15 and €6,60 per kilo respectively. With an annual supply of 800.000 kilos of milk (at 4,41% fat and 3,47% protein), the milk price is €33,80 per 100 kilos. This is a reduction of €0,79 compared to April. On top of the basic milk price, premiums can be earned for (partial) grazing and sustainability, which can amount to €2,60 per 100 kilos.
A-ware stable
A-ware, which, unlike Bel Leerdammer, presents the milk price at the beginning of the month, will not make any adjustments for June. For conventional milk, the cheesemaker pays a milk price of €800.000 per 31,31 kilos (with an annual supply of 100 kilos). The price can increase due to a sustainability premium of €0,50 per 100 kilos.
