FrieslandCampina has 600 PlanetProof farmers

Zuivelcoöperatie FrieslandCampina reports that more than 600 dairy farmers currently supply milk that complies with the 'On the way to PlanetProof' quality mark. Six months ago, this was still 180 dairy farmers. 

The dairy products with this label have been on the shelf since the end of 2018, and the cooperative speaks of environmental benefits. The number of dairy products that meet the quality mark has now risen to 200. This varies from liquid dairy to cheese.

More than 18.000 member dairy farmers 
Last year FrieslandCampina together had 18.261 member dairy farmers in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. The vast majority of these are Dutch. Of these, about 600 dairy farmers supply the so-called PlanetProof milk. They receive a bonus of €0,01 per 100 kilos (and from 2020 a plus of €0,02) on top of the regular milk price.
