DOC Cheese does not stir milk price in July
The cheese group from Hoogeveen, and part of the German DMK, sees the difference with the milk price of 2018 increasing. Compared to the 5-year average, DOC Kaas scores significantly higher.

The above can be deduced from the milk price comparison of Boerenbusiness. DOC Kaas has announced that the prices for fat and protein will be the same as in May and June. In July this means a price of €4,136 per kilo for both fat and protein. In that comparison, with an annual supply of 800.000 kilos, this results in a milk price of €32,50 per 100 kilos of milk (with 4,41% fat and 3,47% protein, excluding VAT).
DOC Kaas brings stability to the milk price in a period in which, for example, the DCA quotations for foil cheese fluctuated quite a bit. Relative to FrieslandCampina should DOC Kaas leave a feather in the payout. With an annual supply of 1 million kilos, the milk price of DOC Kaas for July amounts to €32,71 per 100 kilos.

In order to be able to properly compare the milk prices of the various dairy processors, Boerenbusiness a base price. In July, DOC Kaas itself presents a milk price of €35,05 per 100 kilos, in which all deductions and supplements have been incorporated.
