Phosphate trade to be re-examined

2 August 2019 - Wouter Baan - 5 comments

The trade in phosphate rights is being re-examined by the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality. Dairy farmers can voluntarily participate in the study.

The Ministry of Agriculture has set up a research bureau Yellow Consultancy from Wageningen to conduct research into the market for phosphate rights. The aim of the study is to find out how dairy farmers view pricing.

Second investigation in a short time
It is somewhat striking that the ministry is starting this investigation. Recently, research agency Ecorys presented the results of the market scan they conducted on price formation. This was also commissioned by the Ministry of Agriculture.

This research showed that market surveillance not necessary is, although the dairy farmers did express strong criticism of the current state of affairs. For example, pricing would not be transparent. The influence of traders and commission agents would be too great.

They have to leave out the middlemen because they have an interest in selling it as expensive as possible and earning as much as possible a stock exchange is transpirant provided it is independent just a fixed amount per transaction

If it's too expensive, just wait.
The price is more likely to be below 100 euros/kg phosphate than people think.

Let the government first take a look at its own way of working with its blunt ax legislation!

The RVO should determine the purchaser and publisher and also the in and out price every six months, so that it can regulate the numbers itself and they also have control over whether too many animals are kept on a company, no rights, no animals, and the entire sector of animals must be regulated in the same way, from the dog and cat to the horses, also in the Oostvaardersplassen.
