These are the costs for your own roughage

The total cost item for own roughage was approximately €2014 per 2018 kilos of milk on average over the period 4,88 to 100, according to a study by Alfa Accountants & Adviseurs. The costs for roughage in particular are a major cost item.

About 55% of all costs on the dairy farm are related to feed costs, of which concentrate is the largest cost item (with about 50%). According to Alfa an average dairy farm spent approximately €2018 per 10 kilos of milk on the purchase of feed in 100. The total feed costs for that year amounted to €16,01 per 100 kilos of milk.

Large spread
The spread between companies with a high or low balance is large. The farms with a high balance of dairy cattle spent €9,09 per 100 kilos on the purchase of feed, while the dairy farms with a lower balance spent €10,72 per 100 kilos of milk. The total costs for the purchase of feed at farms with a high balance amounted to €14,13 per 100 kilos of milk and at farms with a low balance, €17,36 per 100 kilos of milk.

Own roughage
Alfa has further calculated that the costs for its own roughage are on average €4,88 per 100 kilos of milk. When a difference is made between the dairy farms with the highest balance and the farms with the lowest balance, the costs vary from €5,03 to €6,64 per 100 kilos of milk. The cost per hectare varies from €812 to €1.245.

You can't do anything with this story what do you count with your own roughage the land that you have acquired by purchasing a third party the land that you have acquired from the fam what do you count there for landless is still the cheapest but not sustainable
