Mongolia wants to increase milk production to 10 million tons

Inner Mongolia recently presented a plan to modernize the dairy industry, government agencies in this autonomous state in northern China report. The aim is to increase raw milk production to 2025 million tons per year by 10.

Inner Mongolia is an autonomous part of China and also the country's largest milk-producing region. that position wants to expand it by means of this modernization process to an annual milk production of 10 million tons. In 2018, Inner Mongolia had 2,3 million dairy cows and raw milk production reached 6,9 million tons.

Financial support
Part of the presented plan is that government agencies in Inner Mongolia will financially support dairy farmers who want to modernize. Land use rules for those dairies could also be relaxed. However, according to the government of this autonomous part of China, the most important thing is that companies switch to modern processing plants.

In June, the Chinese government also launched a plan to improve the country's dairy industry. With this, it hopes to still be able to participate in the global dairy market by 2025.
