DOC Kaas, which is part of the German dairy cooperative DMK, has left the fat and protein price stable at €4,136 per kilo for September. With an annual supply of 800.000 kilos, this results in a milk price of €32,50. In addition, premiums can be earned for grazing (€1,75) and VLOG (€1), which means that the company-specific payment price can be higher.

With an annual supply of 1,1 million kilos of milk (4,41% fat and 3,47% protein), the highest quantity surcharge and all premiums, DOC Kaas itself communicates a milk price of €35,05.

If we look at the milk price comparison op Boerenbusiness, it can be seen that the milk price of DOC Cheese has been at this level since May. FrieslandCampina and Arla, who also present their milk prices in advance of the new month, also record a stable price for the month of September. The basic milk price of these dairy companies respectively amounts to €34,20 en €34,46.

Müller goes down
The British dairy processor Müller has now presented the milk price for the October basket. This drops by £1 to £25,25 (-€1,10 to approximately €27,80). For dairy farmers who have fixed the price for 3 years, the milk price remains at £28,00 (approximately €30,90). This decline is caused by the combination of one record production and declining consumption of dairy products.
