Farmers are going to demonstrate in The Hague

13 September 2019 - Redactie Boerenbusiness - 41 comments

Many farmers are more than tired of the mudslide of social and political criticism. That is why a demonstration is planned in The Hague at the end of September. Initiator Bart Kemp from Ede, himself a sheep farmer by profession, says he already has hundreds of registrations.

The statement by Tjeerd de Groot (D66) to halve the livestock as a solution for the nitrogen problem, was the straw that broke the camel's back for many farmers. A message is now circulating on Whatsapp, calling on the agricultural sector in the Netherlands to participate in the demonstration with cars, tractors and other agricultural vehicles.

The message reads, among other things: "We are tired of the unreliability of the government and agencies, which has left many of us in serious trouble."

Hundreds of registrations
The initiator says he can count on a lot of farmer support. He says that he has already received several hundred registrations. "The phone is red hot and my Whatsapp is overflowing," said Kemp.

Finally in the gun.
Just throw the case flat, let the population go hungry. Then the farmer is once again appreciated.
My father always said there must be another war, you don't want that either, but the statement is correct.
Ingeborg Weshoff 13 September 2019
It is too bizarre for words how our farmers suffer from the idiotic decisions of this other-worldly government. Bring on those slurry tanks and spray the entire Binnenhof.

You can also stay at home and do not deliver milk, pigs, apples, pears, flowers, potatoes, grain, etc. for 1 week. one day we are going to occupy the courtyard with 500 men, and the other day: we drink a glass, take a pee, and everything stays as it was..
Henk-Jan Hof 13 September 2019
It seems sensible to me to make it a citizen-friendly action so as not to get even more negative. With as raising your child "friendly but strict".

September 16 Belgian farmers demonstrate in Ciney Belgium Dutch farmers are also very welcome see website Dutch dairy union. Dutch farmers can already hold a dress rehearsal here. it's NOW ACTION or never be a farmer again!!!!
hear you 13 September 2019
Demonstrate vigorously, as the French farmers always make it feel like that not only the agricultural world is in trouble, but the entire periphery of agriculture has to be cleaned up if half of it has to be cleaned up.
concerned farmer 13 September 2019
Then it has to be a promotion for several days otherwise they will soon forget us.
burke 13 September 2019
boys boys boys
what a bunch of nonsense
we are farmers so entrepreneurs if they want to keep half of the farmers
then let them come with money and make you pay well
this country doesn't want farmers anymore you're crazy to always be right
I protect my children from becoming farmers
there is more to life than playing the victim

peasant 13 September 2019
only assume fair numbers, if not?? threat!!!!! with traffic actions when it snows or other bad weather, the traffic jams get even longer.
And we farmers fill our farms with trees so that they can no longer see us from the public road, because what the eye does not see, what does not hurt the heart.

peasant. they lie just as long blackening us, and line upon line. throw it over us to make you want to stop yeah.
don't fall for it, just keep going. about 80 years ago there was also a group.
in the beginning they got a star. afterwards they were not allowed to go to school, .
not to the movies. you know what happened to it
now let half stop, and then the other half will soon follow. I know, it sounds heavy what I say, but that's how I feel, and many others do. take action at the end of September. preferably throughout the Netherlands, I think it will be too busy in the hague, and we will be stopped by the police, but den bosch. is a nice second location
peter 13 September 2019
We should also hire a few motorcycle gangs on "strike day" because I'm afraid of terrorist attacks from the animal activists.
keep it tidy 13 September 2019
not to flatten Schiphol, I hope?

Angry head to The Hague does not help!!! Correct. Politics is killing our sector and giving other sectors room to expand (industry and aviation). If you want to take politics by the balls, you will have to give them an alternative. Otherwise it never changes and you run into the citizens even more. And what have you achieved by demonstrating an angry head in The Hague? Be smart, without a cunning plan on our part, we're never going to turn the tide... ever! In addition, there is no unity among the peasants. That is beginning number 1. Without unity, action has no chance... Again, you only get 1 chance to leave an impression, with any action whatsoever... And if we as farmers, soon in a cunning way behind the citizen get us and from there put politicians on the line? If that works out with a clever plan? Who can I count on?

Guests, come on! laterrrrrrr

Good business, take a hard look at it, the entire sector must be present, livestock farmers, arable farmers and everything that earns from this.

you have to make yourself heard and if there is no response, harder actions such as distribution centers or highways block. we should not allow a small group to destroy such a top sector. agriculturally it is nowhere as efficient and progressive as in the Netherlands.
farmer 13 September 2019
It's all our own fault there is never anything debunked by agricultural organizations when we are lied to so the citizen thinks it is true>. And left-wing journalists are believed by that
Michael the small 14 September 2019
I would try to get the whole sector on board
Livestock farmers, arable farmers, and fisheries
Then you have everything together
Gre 14 September 2019
Well done Bart,

Take action because we need the organic farmers.

75 % of the meat is exported from animals that have to live out their lives in mega stables on concrete floors .
It brings in the government 10 billion annually.
Let them stop that and support the organic farmers we depend on .

Let them throw loose the slurry tanks in The Hague and don't forget to unlock the doors of the courtyard.
peter 14 September 2019
Due to all the rules of the government, an unworkable situation has arisen. Farmers should ask all their partners to show solidarity and join the strike against this unreliable politician from The Hague!

feed suppliers, vets, forage trade, contractors, mechanization companies, company consultants, buyers of products, etc. The people who work in the offices of these companies can also join in the strike, after all, it is also in their interest that not half of the farmers are eliminated otherwise keep it might work for them too.

The freight cars of various feed suppliers, manure transporters, etc. can drive more with banners to the Maliveld. Also mechanization companies and contractors in the area could make their machines available, because if we are doing well, you are doing well too!!

Companies with residual products for animal feed are also part of this, otherwise they can no longer sell their residual products to us.

If these companies above don't support us with their entire personnel files, it will be nothing and otherwise there is a small chance that we will be taken a little seriously!!

We must be 1 FAMILY only then can you beat a corrupt gang of crooks!!!

Make a plan first
List of action items
Naming spearhead

But don't go, no never demonstrate with agricultural vehicles anymore
That works against us
There is another way to make it clear that we want it different
A way that can also be maintained for a long time, weeks or longer
No blockages and still make the news daily

Takes time, consultation and solidarity
With the right strategy, a lot can be gained.

No tractors, slurry tanks, you name it
Willing to discuss this with others in small committee

nn 15 September 2019
Claim the solidarity of arable farming now?
That's having guts.
Piet 15 September 2019
Citizens will immediately say that we have it far too good of bling bling tractors. When that same citizen hears that farmers readily pay 60.000 euros for a hectare of land, he is completely convinced of the wealth among farmers. Adding a couple of Jinek photos of fields sprayed to death and barn fires, we made the news again. Best remedy is to stay out of the news. In the lee it is still best to farm in Holland.

I don't think so. just let it walk all over you and the sector will disappear by itself. there are simply limits like that absurd plan by Tjeerd de Groot.
innovative 17 September 2019
the time is very unfortunate. In any case, all farmers are presumably busy with harvesting crops and the livestock farmers with maize. when push comes to shove, there are at most 100 farmers
peter 17 September 2019
the demands:
- no more sowing mandatory catch crop before October XNUMXst
- delete compulsory rows of maize fertilization.
- allowed to work your land freely, so also permanent grassland to
PLOW whenever you want.
- import tax on foreign products that do not meet the Dutch standard, the money earned goes to the Boers for sustainability, if not lesser standard standards in the Netherlands.
- spreading manure from January 15 to October 15 and in the way the farmer wants.
- no solid floors in the stable due to the risk of explosion!
- if construction/industry wants to expand, they can buy farmer's rights (golden handshake).
If a nb permit has been issued for a certain amount of cattle, this amount of cattle must also be allowed to be kept and not be reduced by means of phosphate rights.
do not indemnify!
- From NOW we want to be left alone for the next 25 years without an unreliable government that wants to systematically exterminate farmers to implement its own imposed Paris agreements. Trump in America has already STOPPED this.

We are sick of the Rules!!!!!
Andre 17 September 2019
If there is indeed too much nitrogen, which makes expansion for the PAS impossible, immediately a JOINED reason to STOP asylum seekers and send them back to countries where there is still room for nitrogen. No place for animals, not even for extra people! and per household a maximum of 1 car, 2 bicycles and ................................!!!!!

a farmer with a 50x20 meadow for his daughter's pony, you are not allowed to knock over after 5 years if the pony leaves. are they completely screwed in this country?

gait 18 September 2019
Land in the NOP € 130000,00 per hectare. What are we talking about! It's going to be in agriculture.
Frans 19 September 2019
That's right Gait, not others but farmers destroy each other and go crazy. Phosphate rights for 150-250 euros last year, 8000 euros per cow plus 4000 for the barn and 30.000 for associated land. The money must be splashing against the baseboards.

question I would like to support you with this action, I fully support you, only I don't have a tractor; but a scooter yes, it's okay to laugh, but you will end up on the square, think that is much too small and too close to the courtyard must be the Malieveld; this I would like to know; kind regards will

I think the most important thing about this campaign is that there will be a very good spokesperson who can tell the story in a charismatic way, and who can answer critical questions in a witty way.
This means that we do not speak to the press in a blunt, peasant manner.
Joost 24 September 2019
Yes, for example that horny Yvon Jaspers.
Christel 25 September 2019
Will coberco also support farmers in the campaigns? And Albert Hein? They earn the most from the back of the Dutch farmer and have great influence. Are they abandoning the farmers or are they reaching out to the sector? The farmers deserve a fair price for a fair product for which they have to work hard day and night! That is not possible in the Netherlands. So coberco and Albert hein: let us know what you think!
Farmer's son gerard 30 September 2019
No more farmers, then hunger will come again' farmers The Netherlands shows that you take care of a structural gross national product income. Be proud of your landscaping too. The farmer is trump!

Yvonne Jaspers will let you hear tomorrow! Besides farmer looking for wife, this is also important!
Terrorist Hostage Action 16 October 2019
I consider roadblocks by vehicles like tractors, taxis, trucks or police cars the same level as a hostage-taking. You hostage the other road users who in fact can do nothing about the problem. You can also just demonstrate, but then there is obviously a higher chance of being arrested. I wonder if a few Molotov cocktails would work against this kind of motorized hostage situation.

that they do, what we all have to do, cease...
respond to so much what The Hague does to the Land and hard-working citizens.
