GEA Farm Technologies becomes the new partner of the Dairy Academy, a knowledge platform for dairy farmers who supply milk to Royal A-ware. The parties wrote this in a joint press release on Monday 30 September.
's new partner dairy academy, which is located at the A-ware cheese factory in Heerenveen, will support the dairy farmers of the dairy with the challenges in the sector in the field of good housing, milking and cooling technology and hygiene. "We will do this, among other things, by providing and implementing innovative and complete tailor-made concepts", the parties write in the press release.

'Supporting the dairy farmer'
GEA Farm Technologies offers, among other things, sustainable energy solutions for advanced production processes. The parties write that the plan is for specialists from various dealers to visit A-ware's dairy farmers and advise them on optimizing their farms. "It's about supporting dairy farmers in current issues (such as animal welfare and cow comfort)", says Joost Vliegen, director of GEA Farm Technologies.
He continues: "Thanks to this partnership, we can also respond even better to the wishes of the sector." Due to the arrival of this new partner, the partnership with Lely will be terminated from 1 October 2019.
