When we compare production with the same month last year, Dutch milk production is 1,65% higher this year. This shows the milk supply for the second month light growth in a row, after a long period of decline. Milk supply is still barely 0,5% behind the 5-year average.
Thin trade
Processors are reportedly doing well with current milk production. According to the traders, the volumes traded on the spot market are relatively thin and there are no surpluses. It must be borne in mind that milk production is on its way to the seasonal trough in September.
