Millions loss for RFC in Pakistan

23 October 2019 - Wouter Baan - 13 comments

FrieslandCampina Engro Foods Pakistan recorded a loss of €9 million in the first 2019 months of 4,6.

The results clearly show a spring, because in the same period last year, the Pakistani Activities of the dairy cooperative for a profit of almost €3 million. This while the turnover in the first 9 months of this year grew by 20% to €164 million.

This growth in turnover has turned out to be somewhat flattering, however, because the selling prices of dairy products have been increased by the devalued Pakistani rupee.

Increased competition
The reason for the reversal lies in rising costs. Analysts also attribute the loss to increased competition, which is putting pressure on margins. In 2016 FrieslandCampina entered the Pakistani milk lake, because of the growth potential in that market.

That is why the guaranteed price must fall by 1 cent, then you can close the gap with members' money.
I believe the members' council should resign, it's time for common sense.
The management and the supervisory board also need a kick in the ass!!

You do not have to say that you have not been warned ..... If a Muslim wants to get rid of it, you will not sit there as a Dutch company!

Do deliver do not sit down.! Let's hope the terrorism stays away..... Pakistan and Afghanistan are scary countries.

The big earners want bonuses if they do it right, let them run the risk if they do it wrong, I think those figures, who are so good that they think they have to earn so much, have so much self-confidence that they dare

Talked to a member of the Members' Council, he gave me many arguments as to why the members' milk price will go down next year and why they don't want to listen to the members. The person I spoke to says that the Members' Council members want the best for the cooperative and that it is therefore good that the Members have been paying for the laughter (1 billion euros evaporated) for years. And keep paying because according to this member council member we have the highest milk price!! even though equity continues to fall and a lack of money begins to arise!!!

I don't understand it anymore, I also indicated that it is not normal that the owners (12000 members) have to hand in salary and employees (24000) receive a pay increase! it is also not normal that there are twice as many employees as farmers!!

RFC wants even more farmers to stop, I don't have a different mindset anymore! My question is How many stoppers and who pays the stoppers (members)?

It remains special that RFC continues to invest in these unstable countries.
Bert 23 October 2019
If you, as a young farmer and have just taken over the company from your parents, have approved the plan that RFC now has in mind with the guaranteed price, then you are not worth continuing to farm.

Think it's time to go to Amersfoort with a parade of tractors! To put an end to all that shit with the thrift shop and the compass! And then say that the consumer is asking for it! In China they really don't ask about that! And they certainly don't want to pay extra for it! Let them throw out all those staff who aren't busy breaking the milk, that makes a lot of difference!
Bertus 23 October 2019
Well we're back. Reduce the guarantee price by 1 cent and then give 1 cent extra on the other side for plannet trial. Who's kidding who now. I am deeply concerned about the survival of our cooperative. Because indeed equity is swallowing like snow in the sun, and if it continues like this we will have to buy out thousands of farmers in the coming years! Why a plan to penalize farmers who supply too much milk! Next year 1 mlj liter less, just think about that management!!!!!
peter 23 October 2019
If the members' council can no longer think clearly, then we are indeed forced to drive to Amersfoort and get back in the national newspaper, such as with freezing point and cycle indicator.

RFC Thanks!

guys; I think it's actually very simple, in the quota era every factory could sell its stuff well because there was a QOUTUM. at rfc?, Well the old arrogant pants, but not the good people..

Dear readers,

Some comments from this topic have been removed. This is because a person presented himself under a pseudonym that refers to the chairman of the FrieslandCampina cooperative.

Sorry editors, you have to appreciate some humor. Everyone could really see that it wasn't Frans Keurentjes.
