Bel Leerdammer is progressive when it comes to raising the milk price. The cheese producer carries on October ...
Where other dairy processors If their milk prices remain stable this autumn, Bel Leerdammer sees room for increases. In October, fat and protein prices rise again. This time by €0,05 to €3,15 per kilo and €0,10 to €6,70 per kilo respectively. The basic milk price therefore increases by €0,62 to €35,85 per 100 kilos (based on 1 million kilos and the standard Dutch contents). With the increase, Bel Leerdammer gives direction to the rising cheese market.
In addition to the basic milk price, premiums can be earned at Bel Leerdammer for VLOG (€1), grazing (€2) and sustainability (€0,60). The maximum milk price that can be achieved can therefore amount to €38,45 per 100 kilos. This puts the dairy processor at the top of the list milk price comparator van Boerenbusiness.
Starting with Vlog
Since October, some of Bel Leerdammer's suppliers have started using VLOG feed, like last year already known was created. A changeover period applies until the end of the year, during which all milk is processed in the regular circuit. From 2020, this milk will be collected and processed separately in the factory in Dalfsen, Overijssel.
