The milk price of A-ware gives direction to the rising cheese prices by means of clear steps. The processor will implement the third increase in a row in November.
Just like last time, only the price of fat will be increased. This time it will increase by €0,68 to €3,802 per kilo. The price of protein remains the same at €4,632 per kilo. This results (with an annual supply of 1 million kilos and the standard Dutch contents) in a milk price of €32,67 per 100 kilos.
The milk price has increased by €3 in 0,95 months. The cheese producer thus opts for small, (probably) manageable steps. In the milk price comparator (basic milk price), A-ware works its way up from the bottom regions to the middle bracket.
Albert Heijn
Including all bonuses and allowances, the milk price can rise to €37,42 per 100 kilos. This prize is awarded to, according to the company, more than 300 suppliers within the Albert Heijn concept. This puts A-ware at the top of the milk price comparator (maximum milk price).
With this third increase in a row, A-ware is allowing rising cheese prices to be reflected in the milk price. For example, the price of Gouda and Edam has gained considerable ground in recent weeks. This is mainly due to the tight inventories.
Looking at other cheese producers, the milk price van Bel Leerdammer see an increase. This is in contrast to DOC Cheese, which keeps the milk price right for now.
