The feed market keeps the price of last week fixed. This means that there are few price movements. For example, the price for straw this week will remain stable at €105 per tonne free of charge at the farm, although the price may be slightly higher or lower here and there due to transport distance. The price of perennial ryegrass also stands at €110 per tonne free from farm this week.

In contrast, the price of spent grains dropped this week to €2,55 per percent dry matter. This is not so much because there is more supply, but mainly because not every buyer is willing to pay €2,60 per percent dry matter. In addition, potato chips are scarce, which means that this price is also at a high level. For the good quality you can easily spend €45 to €50 per tonne free of charge at the farm.

Meadow hay slightly down again
Although the price of meadow hay took a step up last week, it is now falling in the same order of magnitude to the 'old level'. The price of meadow hay this week amounts to € 160 per tonne free of charge at the farm. According to several traders, not every buyer was willing to pay a higher price. The price of silage maize will remain at €65 per tonne free from farm this week. Quality also plays a major role in this market.

Prices for reed fescue, red fescue and meadow meadow also remain stable. This brings the prices to €130, €150 and €135 respectively per tonne free from the farm. Few changes are expected in this market in the coming weeks either.
