That the feed market for weeks is fairly stable, is clearly reflected in the price of straw (both wheat and barley straw). The price remains stable for the seventh week this week at €105 per tonne, free of charge. On the other hand, traders report that trading is increasingly taking place at €100 per tonne, which means that the price may drop slightly in the long term. However, a significant price change is not expected. The price of meadow hay remains at €160 per tonne this week. Quality remains important, which means that more is paid here and there.

Little good silage maize available
The price of silage maize remains at €65 per tonne free at the farm. There is very little product left good quality available, so that the price remains at the same level as last year. This is despite the fact that both supply and demand are not very high. Silage grass has been trading at €18 per tonne free of charge since week 50 of this year. The price for perennial ryegrass remains stable at €110 per tonne free at farm. Here and there, trading also takes place at somewhat lower levels.

Beer spent grain has shown slightly more price changes in recent weeks, but also remains stable this week. The price is €2,55 per percent dry matter. It should be noted that the supply is becoming tighter, as a result of which the waiting time has now risen again to 1 to 1,5 weeks. There is virtually no trade in red fescue, tall fescue and meadow meadow. The prices remain at €150, €130 and €135 per tonne, free of charge, respectively.
