The increase is due to the fat and protein price, which increases by €0,134 to €4,27 per kilo. With this increase, DOC is no longer at the bottom of the table milk price comparator from Boerenbusiness. This place is now reserved for Arla, which did not increase the milk price for December, but almost did equal loved.
For the first time since April, this payout price can break the 'psychological barrier' of €35 again. Because including the bonuses for (partial) grazing, VLOG and sustainability, the milk price can rise to €35,97 per 100 kilos. Arla is also passed over in the maximum milk price comparator.
Cheese market is picking up
The higher milk price is no surprise and was actually expected 1 month ago. This is because the prices for cheese and milk powder have increased significantly since the summer. This gave the raw material value of milk a boost.
