After four increases in a row, A-ware keeps the basic milk price for January the same at €32,92 per 100 kilos. In the milk price comparator van Boerenbusiness This puts A-ware just above DOC Cheese and Arla, which also kept milk prices the same this month.
The maximum payment price, which applies to the approximately 300 companies participating in the Albert Heijn concept, is €37,67 per 100 kilos. The prices are calculated based on 3,47% protein and 4,41% fat. The underlying fat and protein prices are €3,859 and €4,632 per kilo respectively.
Weighted actual milk price
A-ware has 4 common milk flows. In addition to regular and Albert Heijn milk, A-ware also has separate payment prices for farm and pasture milk. To visualize the average monthly milk payment, the processor has introduced a weighted actual milk price from 2020.
This weighted average is calculated by dividing the prices of the various milk flows, excluding organic milk, by the delivered kilos. For January, the weighted actual milk price is €36,08 per 100 kilos, at 3,57% protein and 4,41% fat. This price gives a good indication of how A-ware is performing in the market.
