RVO will soon announce phosphate space per farmer

9 January 2020 - Wouter Baan - 23 comments

From 15 January, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) will publish the details of the companies that were awarded phosphate rights in 2018. This is prescribed by the Fertilizers Act.

In the publication man and horse are mentioned. In other words, it becomes clear for each individual (dairy) farmer how many phosphate rights he was allocated last year.

Other information, such as Chamber of Commerce number, name and address details, bank account number and company form, will also be made public. A spokesperson for RVO says that the publication is 'AVG-proof'. The overview is intended to be updated regularly.

I am amazed that even the bank account number has to be published. What purpose can that serve? For scammers in the Netherlands, name and address details, Chamber of Commerce and bank account number are nicely presented on a silver platter.

a farmer has no right to privacy, that is only granted to others
dirk 9 January 2020
You can only do that with farmers, every other population group would not accept this.

the government is getting more and more entangled in their own web of rules and lies

Maybe just once with the tractors to axles?
jef 10 January 2020
What is the point of making this information public?????
BerttHB 10 January 2020
Where is the privacy watchdog?
Ton Westgeest 10 January 2020
Yes, you're going to ask yourself something.... One ministry there doesn't even give you your own data (everything is painted black there) and the other just throws all your data on the street.
It just goes to show that the agendas are very different and that the groups that affect them can simply have their privacy rights revoked!!!
Johan 10 January 2020
First of all, this is of no use at all. What good is this data to someone?

Second, it's just a pravicy violation. Bank details and Chamber of Commerce details are private. Nobody needs anything with that. Then a system can still be privacy-proof. The privacy is already gone if you make the data public. So what's so 'proof' about it?

Thirdly, the farmers will soon be faced with all kinds of problems from people who run off with this data. Will RVO also offer compensation? Or should it cost even more money as the procedures take years?

The government must now stop doing nonsensical things and focus on what really needs to be done, such as the 2 companies that do not want to disclose their emissions data, with Chamber of Commerce and bank number and NB permit, etc. Because this way the government is very unbelievable.

How glad I am not to be a farmer anymore!
Are they completely blown away now?
Think peacefully demonstrating on
this way is going to be really hard!
BIG DISGUSTING!
Rather criminal behavior!
Is this the new way of bullying?
No words for it!

can this still be stopped with summary proceedings?
Manon van Rooyen 10 January 2020
Ridiculous!.
Is there a link to this publication so that it can be checked? Name and address details, bank account number for what can they be published? I can't imagine that that is AVG proof, what does SOMEONE need that account information for?
Karel 10 January 2020
Another thing LTO is collaborating on?
Or will they wake up again and stop this.
Man 10 January 2020
If the companies with pigs and chicken rights are also announced, this makes no sense anymore.
Pure invasion of privacy.
Hans 10 January 2020
How completely worthless and disrespectful to farming families.
Do intensive companies now have to wait for destruction, sabotage, animal activists, etc
What use does this serve? Abolish
tinus 10 January 2020
TIME FOR VERY HARD ACTION!!!!!!!!!WHERE IS RVO OFFICE??
Anja 10 January 2020
Dear farmers, will you accept this?
Meaning 11 January 2020
So I asked for legal aid anyway to help .... yet another case against the RVO .... as farmers we are almost getting used to it ... daily costs consultation with lawyers :(.
