LTO: European milk price shows small plus
LTO Nederland comes with a belated milk price comparator for November 2019. While the milk prices for the new year are already known, we still take a look at the European prices.

The average milk price in November is €33,73 per 100 kilos, an increase of €0,22 compared to October. The average milk price did better last year and was more than one euro higher. The increase in November is due to Irish dairy companies significantly increasing milk prices. The lower milk prices in France 000, on the other hand, are putting pressure on the upward trend.
Italian Granarolo in the lead
LTO reports an increase of €0,70 to €34,88 per 100 kilos of milk for FrieslandCampina in November. The guaranteed price rose again in December, but fell in January 2020. The reason for this is the adjustment in the milk money system. The Scandinavian Arla stands firm and keeps the milk price the same at €32,47 per 100 kilos. The price of Granarolo also remained unchanged at €41,27 per 100 kilos. This puts the Italian processor at the top in the comparison.
Strong increase in US
A striking change is the increase in the milk price in the United States (class III). In November 2019, the milk price was 16% higher compared to last year. The price in November was no less than €46,12 per 100 kilos of milk.
