Dairy Australia figures have shown that February's Australian milk supply increased compared to the same month last year. Milk supply has increased by 8,1%. New Zealand's milk supply, on the other hand, has remained the same compared to last year, according to figures from government agency DCANZ.

Milk supply Australia
Australian milk supplies increased in February compared to the same month last year. Milk supply increased by no less than 8,1% to 618,4 thousand tons. The fat percentage remained unchanged at 4,32% in the same month. The protein content, on the other hand, has changed somewhat, increasing to 3,41%.

Most milk was produced in the state of Victoria, where the milk supply was approximately 371,3 thousand tons. The state of Tasmania has increased the most in milk supply compared to last year, with milk supplies increasing by 16,8% to 81 thousand tonnes respectively. Queensland is the only state where milk supplies have fallen. In February 2020, 4,9% less milk was delivered than in February 2019. The decline is the aftermath of the drought and forest fires in that region.

Milk supply New Zealand
New Zealand's milk supply in February remained the same as last year. In both months the milk supply was approximately 1,875 million tons, although it should be noted that this year there was an extra day due to a leap year. Due to persistent drought, production in New Zealand has returned somewhat.
