In February this year, both French and German dairy farmers produced more milk than in the same month last year, according to new figures from the European Commission.
The total amount of milk collected in both countries was significantly higher than last year. This increase is due to the fact that the month of February had an extra day this year due to the leap year. This means that the figures for both countries are above the 5-year average.
