The market for phosphate rights has been calm for several weeks now. There is little demand and the price is gradually falling further and further.
Due to the good weather conditions, dairy farmers are busy in the fields and the trade in phosphate rights is fading into the background. The corona crisis and the uncertainty surrounding milk prices also stimulate little purchasing interest.
Price level
The DCA quotation this week amounts to €119 per right, which remains the same as last week. However, the average price has fallen compared to the beginning of April. On April 1, the DCA quotation was still €123.
Considering the time of year, it is not surprising that prices are dropping. The good weather conditions are forecast to continue for the time being. The expectation is that the market will remain quiet in the coming weeks.
