Milk prices are falling sharply, also at A-ware and Cono Kaasmakers.
It should come as no surprise that the corona crisis is to blame for the negative dairy market and therefore the falling milk prices. Even before corona infections were detected in the Netherlands, the milk powder market slowed down. Later, a significant write-down followed for cheese and butter prices.
Correction on protein at A-ware
A-ware reduces the basic milk price for May by €1,31 to €30,88 per 100 kilos. This is calculated for an annual supply of 1 million kilos at 4,41% fat and 3,47% protein. Venison is the second reduction in a row, prompted by a correction in the protein price, which drops €0,40 to €4.043 per kilo. The fat price remains the same at €3,859 per kilo.
In milk price comparator from Boerenbusiness the basic milk price is currently at the bottom. In the maximum milk price comparator, the pure producer is at the top. The approximately 300 dairy farmers who participate in the Albert Heijn concept still receive €35,63 per 100 kilos in May. The weighted actual milk price (average of the 4 milk flows, excluding organic) is €34,02.
Cone
The basic milk price of Cono Kaasmakers is also rapidly losing ground and drops by €0,74 to €33,04 in April. Including the premiums for grazing, vlog and Caring Dairy, the payout price can amount to a maximum of €36,79. In the milk price comparator, the cheesemaker from the Beemster is therefore a middle engine.
