Pressed pulp price remains the same despite larger acreage

4 May 2020 - Wouter Baan

The pre-sale of beet pulp started today (May 4). Cosun subsidiary Duynie has set the price at €1,65 per percent dry matter.

This means that the price for the seasoning in roughage remains the same as last year. The price of cigarettes also remains the same at €1,40 per percent of dry matter. The prices do not include discounts and surcharges and are valid until Friday, May 22. This is followed by a second round.

Duynie calculates the price based on the expected supply and demand. The beet area has increased by 5% compared to last year to approximately 85.000 hectares, as a result of more allocations from beet growers.
