Minister Carola Schouten's new feed track is not effective, says Henk Flipsen, director of Nevedi. The scheme is not in line with the view of the feed sector and the Agricultural Collective. "The minister charts her own course."
Flipsen says that the arrangement does not match the view of Nevedi and the Agricultural Collective. He emphasizes that Nevedi has had no contact with the ministry after the talks with the Agricultural Collective broke down. The chairman wondered why the minister is demanding this effort from the sector, which is probably being confronted with the corona crisis.
"The only positive thing about the arrangement is that it is temporary. Hopefully we can move towards a structural arrangement from 2021, based on the view of the Agricultural Collective." In terms of content, Flipsen does not yet want to respond to Schouten's plan. "Within Nevedi, we are investigating whether the scheme is, for example, feasible in practice. And what it means for the rations on dairy farms. We are also examining whether the scheme is legally possible." Flipsen expects to have answers to this in the course of next week.
Aggractie: 'clash from the blue'
Agractie calls the new feed track a 'clash from the blue'. According to the organization, it can be concluded from the letter to Parliament of 24 April that the measures have no effects at individual company level, while this is now the case. "This is an infringement of the farmer's craftsmanship," a press statement said. The representative aims to have a conversation with Schouten.
