Consultations took place yesterday between parties from the agricultural advocacy sector and the Ministry of Agriculture. From this, the Dutch Dairy Farmers' Union draws the conclusion that consultation no longer makes any sense.
That is why the union supports the summary proceedings brought by the Agrifacts and Nitrogen Claim foundations against the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality.
Dissatisfaction with information sent
The ministry has sent the information that the foundations demanded by threatening summary proceedings, but the foundations are not satisfied with the information sent, which was not intended for publication. "Transparency and openness are lacking in this feed measure," the foundations note. The summary proceedings are therefore continued.
Through press officer Rudi Buis, the Ministry of LNV announces that the document requested by the foundations has been sent. "Apparently that is not enough. Then we wait for the summary proceedings."
Process delay
The NMV is of the opinion that the ministry is deliberately delaying processes. "Initiating summary proceedings has been postponed each time, because LNV is still in talks with the sector. But LNV does not provide any numerical substantiation, provides nothing at all. When talks with the sector push the foundations into summary proceedings, further speaking is not wise. It is now time to give space to the summary proceedings of the foundations."
