Following on from FrieslandCampina and DOC Kaas, A-ware and Cono Kaasmakers have also announced the milk price...
A-ware increases the basic milk price by €0,80 to €32,12 per 100 kilos, with an annual delivery of 1 million at 3,57% protein and 4,42% fat. The increase is because the price of fat rises by €0,181 to €4,040 per kilo. The protein price remains the same at €4,043 per kilo.
For participants in the Albert Heijn concept, the milk price rises to €37,87 per 100 kilos. A-ware itself communicates a weighted actual milk price of €35,13 per 100 kilos. This is the average of the 4 milk flows (excluding organic) that the dairy producer uses.
Cono leads the milk price comparator
Cono cheesemakers increases the milk price for July by 50 cents to €33,83 per 100 kilos, calculated under the same conditions as above. This puts the cheesemaker from Beemster in the lead by far milk price comparator from Boerenbusiness. Within Caring Dairy, the payout price can amount to a maximum of €37,58.
The increased milk prices can be seen as a correction to previous reductions, thanks to the recovery of dairy prices in May. However, dairy prices in the Netherlands and Europe are still below pre-corona crisis levels. And at the beginning of August it is not expected that the recovery will continue, as the market feels weak.
