The United Kingdom's milk supply amounted to 1,328 million kilos in June. Milk production is at a comparable level to the same month last year. Production is 2% above the 5-year average.

Compared to the previous month, milk supply has decreased significantly with a decrease of 6,4%. The decrease is due to the seasonal trend, milk production reached its peak in May. But milk production has fallen faster between these months than last year, when milk supply decreased by 4,9%.

Ireland
The Irish produced 1,061 million kilos of milk in June. Production is approximately 3% higher than in the same period last year. The level is even higher than the 5-year average, namely almost 9% higher. Production in Ireland is also slightly lower than in May. Production records a minus of 7%, but here too this has to do with the seasonal trend.

The Irish milk processor Glanbia announced its half-year results lower gross profit achieved than last year. The construction of the cheese factory, which the milk processor wants to set up together with A-ware, will also start. Construction was delayed for some time because an action group that defends the environment had objected. However, the judge has now rejected the appeal and construction of the cheese factory can start.
