Dairy producer A-ware has again increased the payment prices for the various milk flows for October. In the meantime, the level before the corona crisis has almost been reached again.
The basic milk price increases by €0,75 to €33,12 per 100 kilos, calculated with an annual supply of 1 million kilos at 4,42% fat and 3,57% protein. Since July, the milk price has increased by €1,80. Dairy farmers who participate in the Albert Heijn concept can look forward to a payout price of €38,87 per 100 kilos this month.
Thanks to the third increase in a row, the milk price of A-ware is only €0,30 below the level of March, when the influence of the corona crisis had not yet been reflected in the payment prices.
Milk price comparator
In milk price comparator from Boerenbusiness the bare milk price of A-ware is getting closer and closer to that of FrieslandCampina. In August the difference was still more than €1, in October the difference is €0,36 per 100 kilos. If we compare the milk price including bonuses and premiums, then A-ware is well ahead.
The room for higher milk prices has been created by the improving cheese prices in recent weeks. Since the beginning of August, the DCA quotation for Gouda cheese has risen by €160 to €2.930 per tonne. The higher prices are mainly due to good demand from the retail sector.
