Thanks to the winter bonus, the payout price of Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods takes a step up in the milk price comparator.
As one of the few processors in the Netherlands, Vreugdenhil charges a surcharge for the milk supply in the autumn and winter months. From September to January, the approximately 1.000 suppliers receive an amount of €3,90 on top of the milk price.
For September, the fat and protein prices remain the same at €2,90 and €5,70 per kilo respectively. Thanks to the winter bonus, the basic milk price rises to €35,88 per 100 kilos. The average milk price over the past 12 months amounted to an average of €35,23 per 100 kilos. This makes Vreugdenhil the only processor within the milk price comparator van Boerenbusiness which exceeds €35 during that period.
Cheese up, whole milk powder aside
At the same time, Vreugdenhil is also the only processor that has not yet increased fat and protein prices since the decline at the beginning of the corona crisis. While other processors have been able to benefit from rising cheese prices in recent weeks, Vreugdenhil is mainly dependent on the milk powder market. The DCA quotation of whole milk powder has moved mainly sideways in recent weeks.
Including bonuses for grazing and sustainability, Vreugdenhil's milk price can rise to €37,98 per 100 kilos. In the milk price comparator (maximum), Vreugdenhil only has to tolerate A-ware above him.
