New CFO for dairy processor Milcobel

2 November 2020 - Jorine Cosse

Belgian processor Milcobel announced today (November 2) that Pierre Stevens will take up office as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) as of January 1, 2021. It is unknown whether he will replace the current Finance Manager Stefan Peeters.

The dairy cooperative is pleased to welcome Stevens to Milcobel. "We are convinced that, together with Pierre, we will soon be able to shape the further professionalization of our finance processes," says CEO Nils van Dam. The company does not say what will happen to the incumbent Finance Manager Stefan Peeters.

International experience
With Stevens, Milcobel says they have landed someone with many years of international experience in finance. The father of 3 has held both international and local positions with companies such as Protector & Gamble and Danone. He joined the latter after Danone took over Nutricia, where he had been active since 2007 as financial director Benelux.

Stevens is not the only new face in the management of the dairy cooperative. Incumbent CEO Van Dam was appointed in May after his predecessor was dismissed in December due to disappointing results.
