Cono Kaasmakers and Bel Leerdammer have increased the milk price for October. A-ware, who announced the milk price for November, is keeping it stable.
Cono increases the milk price by €0,61 to an amount of €34,44 per 100 kilos, calculated at 4,41% fat and 3,57% protein and an annual delivery of 1 million kilos. Under the same conditions, Bel Leerdammer's milk price for October increases by €0,76 to €33,88 per 100 kilos.
In milk price comparator van Boerenbusiness (bald), Cono consolidates its leading position, while Bel Leerdammer takes some distance from FrieslandCampina. Although Vreugdenhil is still at the top, the powder producer's winter surcharge gives a clouded picture.
Rise levels off
The increases for October are no surprise. Previously, the payment prices of FrieslandCampina, DOC Kaas and A-ware, among others, have increased for the same month. These processors have also published the milk price for November and they all remain stable. In the case of A-ware, this amounts to €33,12, whereby the payout price with maximum premiums can rise to €38,87 per 100 kilos.
The leveling off trend is in line with developments in the dairy market. The tightened corona measures in many countries are depressing the demand for cheese and milk powder. As a result, these products have been declining in value for several weeks.
