Vandersterre enters butter and milk powder trade

1 December 2020 - Jorine Cosse

Cheese trader Vandersterre from Bodegraven will be trading in dairy ingredients in addition to cheese under the name 'Vandersterre Ingredients'. With this new branch, the cheese trader wants to focus on the marketing and distribution of dairy raw materials in the business-to-business market.

Vandersterre Ingredients focuses on trading liquid, powder and butter from traditional cow's milk, organic dairy, Jersey, goat and sheep milk and dairy of vegan origin. The green ambitions are remarkable. The company also aims to trade dairy with full attention to the environment. Vandersterre emphasizes a low ecological footprint, the company says in the press release.

Growing demand
Dennis van Huet, formerly employed by Hoogwegt and Bel Leerdammer, will shape the new business unit. "Vandersterre Ingredients offers me the opportunity to combine my passion for dairy, trade and entrepreneurship, while at the same time it offers the opportunity to meet the growing demand for high-quality food with a low ecological footprint," says Van Huet. Jan Kos, CEO of Vandersterre, says he is delighted to be launching the new activity together with Van Huet.
