December has arrived and that means the last weeks to trade phosphate rights in 2020 have arrived. Trade is currently not booming, market insiders confirm. Supply is reportedly currently slightly higher than demand, resulting in current price levels.

The DCA quotation for purchasing rights this week amounts to €150, which is €0,50 lower than last week. Brokers confirm that there is still demand in the market, but that there is often a wait-and-see attitude in the hope that prices will drop. The DCA quotation for leasing rights is this week at €35 and is €2 higher than last week.

Slight price fluctuations
It remains difficult to make forecasts due to market volatility. In general, traders expect trading to pick up a bit, but prices are unlikely to make crazy jumps anymore.
