The phosphate rights market is gripped by the end of the year. The sharp price increase of last week will not continue this week and the DCA quotation will drop as a result. Reportedly, there is still some supply on the market, but this may dry up today or tomorrow.
Last week there was a lot of demand for the phosphate rights and the commission agents were very busy. Traders are not sitting still this week either. There is still some supply on the market, although the price will not rise further this week. The DCA listing for Phosphate Rights amounts to €151,50, which means it is down by €5 compared to last week. The quotation of lease rights also takes a step back and comes to €36 (-€1,50).
Drying offer
The sharp price increase of last week is therefore short-lived. However, it is no guarantee that prices will not climb a bit before the end of the year. Reportedly, the remaining supply is starting to dry up nicely.
