FrieslandCampina: 'No Friso sales plans'

22 January 2021 - Wouter Baan

FrieslandCampina denies planning to divest infant nutrition brand Friso, as suggested Thursday (January 21) by news agency Bloomberg.

Bloomberg reported that FrieslandCampina, in the context of the reorganization with an annual saving of €100 million would plan to sell Friso. FrieslandCampina would investigate the sale of Friso together with the bank JP Morgan, the American news agency said.

FrieslandCampina announced in a statement today that the rumors are not true. It is not usual for the dairy cooperative to respond to the rumor.

Sales Pay
Bloomberg stated earlier this month that FrieslandCampina is looking for a buyer for the 50% interest in Betagen, a producer of yoghurt products in Thailand. This sale could bring in $500 million. This rumor has not been denied by FrieslandCampina.
