FrieslandCampina continues its upward trend and increases the milk price for April. Where last month there was a more cautious plus, this time there is a big scoop on top of the milk price.
FrieslandCampina increases the guaranteed price for April by €0,75 to €36 per 100 kilos. In the Boerenbusiness Milk price comparator FrieslandCampina's basic milk price increases by €0,75 to €35,23 per 100 kilos. This is based on 4,42% fat and 3,57% protein and an annual supply of 1 million kilos. The maximum milk price increases proportionally and is €38,73 for April.
With the increase, the dairy group is working with Arla, which sets the milk price April also increased considerably, the tone for April and, after a long wait, the more positive market segment is being heard. The Global Dairy Trade in New Zealand has already shown significant increases at several auctions and the DCA Dairy quotations have also been on the rise for some time.
Arla is gaining ground with organic milk prices
The organic guaranteed price increases by €1 to €48,50 per 100 kilos. In the boerenbusiness Comparator, the price dropped last month by no less than €2,76 to €44,79 and for the month of April the price remains unchanged. This means that the dairy cooperative is losing ground and is being overtaken by Arla Foods, which increased the organic milk price for April. Arla's organic milk price is above FrieslandCampina for the first time since July 2020. The difference is €1,50.
