Australian dairy exports continue to grow
Australian dairy exports continued the positive development in February. Dairy exports continued to grow. The export of butter in particular increased considerably.

Over the period from July 2020 to February 2021, a total of 10,1% more dairy was exported than in the same period a year earlier. Total exports during these months amounted to approximately 539.663 tons. If we look at the figures up to and including January, it appears that exports rose faster in February. From July to January, growth was lower, at 7,2%.
Zooming in on specific products, it can be noted that exports of all dairy products have increased. Butter exports in particular have increased significantly. The percentage growth has increased from 116% to 132%.

Loss of export value smaller
The export value is still below last year's level. A total of $2.091 million worth of dairy was exported from July through February. This is still 2,3% lower than in the previous year, but the difference is becoming smaller. Last month the difference was still 4,5%.
