Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods also increases the milk price for March. It is the second increase in a row for the dairy processor, although the milk price fell last month in the Boerenbusiness milk price comparator due to the disappearance of the winter bonus.
The average milk price that Vreugdenhil itself communicates increases by €0,62 to €35,28 per 100 kilos for March. This excludes VAT, for an annual supply of 1,1 million kilos of milk, 4,42% fat and 3,57% protein and includes premiums for quality, sustainability and grazing. The correction has been made to both the fat and protein prices. The organic milk price of Vreugdenhill is also increasing and is recorded at €52,94 per 100 kilos for March.
Lowest maximum milk price
In Boerenbusiness Dutch Milk price calculator Vreugdenhil fell sharply last month as a result of the loss of the winter allowance. With this month's increase, the milk price in the comparison takes another step up. The basic milk price increases by €0,62 to €33,64 per 100 kilos. This is calculated based on 4,42% fat, 3,57% protein and an annual supply of 1 million kilos.
While the basic milk price of February was still below A-ware, the milk price of March is above the price of A-ware. The increase makes little difference in terms of ranking for the maximum milk price. The maximum milk price increases to €35,14 per 100 kilos. This means that Vreugdenhil records the lowest price for March with the maximum milk price, just like in February.
