Milk price Bel rises, but bounces back in price comparison

Royal Bel Leerdammer will increase the milk price for the month of May. The increase is less sharp than at other dairy processors and the basic milk price is losing ground in the Boerenbusiness Milk price comparator.

Bel Leerdammer's milk price for the month of May increases by €0,40. The total milk price that the dairy group itself communicates is €37,21 per 100 kilos. This is calculated for an annual supply of 1,1 million kilos and contents of 4,41% fat and 3,47% protein.

The price includes the grazing and VLOG allowance of €2,00 and €1,00 per 100 kilos respectively, which is paid monthly by Royal Bel Leerdammer, and the market supplement of €0,25 per 100 kilos of milk. The price does not include a sustainability premium, which can amount to €0,60 per 100 kilos.

Giving up 2nd place in comparator
In Boerenbusiness Dutch Milk price calculator the basic milk price has increased by €0,40 to €35,28 per 100 kilos. This is based on an annual supply of 1 million kilos and 4,42% fat and 3,57% protein. While Bel was in shared second place in the price comparator last month, it has to give up its place this month. Both A-ware and Arla have increased the milk price more significantly and have surpassed Bel Leerdammer.

Bel's maximum milk price for May is €38,53. Here Bel maintains his position - although the distance with Arla, who ranks below Bel, is reduced.
