The milk supply from Poland has increased by 1.098 thousand tons of milk compared to March last year, an increase of 1,8%. This is a new record for Polish milk production. Polish milk production is increasing for the fifth year in a row.
With this new record, nothing is left of last month's stagnant annual growth. This is because the cold in February has made way for milder weather. This benefits Polish milk production.
Rising trend in milk production continues
The increasing milk prices on the world market may also influence this increase in milk production. The 5-year average for March is 1.050.000 tons of milk. Milk production in March 2021 is 48.000 tons higher than average. The higher dairy quotations are good for dairy farmers because milk production is at its seasonal highest point in Poland from March to July.
