Milk price Cono rises, but retains the lead?
Cono Kaasmakers has announced the milk price for April; a plus compared to the milk price in March. What does this mean for the dairy group's competitive position in the Boerenbusiness Milk price comparator?

Cono Kaasmakers announces the milk price retroactively and the milk price will be increased for the month of April. This is the fourth increase in a row. The correction has been made to both the fat and protein prices.
In Boerenbusiness Dutch Milk price calculator the milk price increases by €0,53, bringing the basic milk price to €36,58 per 100 kilos. This is calculated for an annual supply of 1 million kilos and is based on 4,42% fat and 3,57% protein. The competitive position of the dairy group remains strong and the basic milk price is still at the top of the comparator.
Maximum milk price loses to A-ware
Cono's maximum milk price for April is €41,08 per 100 kilos. While the dairy group had the highest maximum milk price in the comparator in March, it will have to give up its place to A-ware in April. The milk price of A-ware rose by €1,55 in April and this puts the maximum milk price at €41,12 per 100 kilos, just above Cono.
