Milcobel is also increasing the milk price for the month of May. The Belgian dairy processor has only implemented increases this year.
Milcobel continues the positive trend for milk price development. Since the beginning of the year, the dairy processor has only increased the milk price and this is no different for May. The increase is attributed to both improved business performance and the more favorable market.
Milk price continues to increase
For the current May deliveries, the standard price will be increased by €1. This is an equal increase to that of April and brings the price to €33 per 100 liters. This corresponds to a real milk price paid of €35,40 per 100 liters for a standardized delivery.
This is calculated at 4,3% fat, 3,5% protein and an annual supply of 650.000 liters. In addition, IKM certification must be met, participants must participate in the paraTB program, there must be no penalty points or penalties for inhibitors and the bacterial count must be below 25.000 per milliliter, the cell count below 300.000 per milliliter and the coli count below 50 per milliliter. .
Patience will be rewarded
This year, Milcobel's milk price has only undergone increases, but last year the milk price remained unchanged for a particularly long period and the barrier of €30 per 100 kilos could not be broken. This was to the dissatisfaction of suppliers, whose patience was put to the test. This year, patience seems to be rewarded somewhat with only increases.
