Rise in milk price Arla Foods moderated a bit

Arla itself publishes a milk price for June of €36,52 per 100 kilos of milk at 4,2% fat and 3,4% protein. This is €0,58 per 100 kilos more than the previous month. The cooperative will increase the value of protein slightly more than that of fat for June. Protein increases by €0,09 to €5,42 per 100 kilos, while the value of fat increased by €0,06 to €3,87 per 100 kilos.

This is €0,59 more than the €35,70 per 100 kilos for the month of May. As a result, the milk price rises less rapidly than in the months of April and May, but this may be due to the stable dairy market of these weeks, among other things.

From closing to top
In April, Arla increased the milk price by €2,38 and in May by another €1,66 per 100 kilos. This moved the dairy group from last year to the top in the milk price comparator. Arla is the first dairy company to publish the milk price for June. FrieslandCampina reports the guaranteed price for June, for example, on 31 May.

The maximum milk price, ie the milk price including all bonuses and premiums that can be achieved, amounts to €38,90 per 100 kilos of milk at Arla for June. This is also €0,59 per 100 kilos more. 

Small biological correction
The organic milk price that Arla publishes for June is €48,44 per 100 kilos at 4,2% fat and 3,4% protein. This is a small correction of €0,04 compared to the organic advance price for May. This is due to a minimum depreciation of €0,01 per 100 kilos on organic protein. Protein values ​​Arla at €7,20, fat remains stable at €5,15 per 100 kilos.
