New CEO for Arla Foods in the Netherlands

28 May 2021 - Chanti Oussoren

Arla Foods has hired a new CEO for the Netherlands, Belgium and France. Mark Boot will take over from Bas Padberg.

As of August 1, 2021, Mark Boot, who currently holds the position of managing director of Arla Foods in Southeast Asia (SEA), will transfer to managing director of the dairy cooperative in the Netherlands, Belgium and France. The current managing director, Bas Padberg, Boot will take over his duties at Arla Foods SEA.

Boot was responsible for the Southeast Asia region at Arla from 2016 and has delivered profitable growth during this period. Before joining Arla, he held a leadership position at FrieslandCampina at organizations in the Philippines and Vietnam.

Excited about what's to come
Both Padberg and Boot are proud of what they have achieved in recent years. Both are also enthusiastic about the new opportunities that lie ahead. “Having the opportunity to lead such a dynamic and diverse region as Southeast Asia is one that I am very excited about and looking forward to getting started,” said Padberg.

Boot also wants to focus on the Dutch, Belgian and French markets. "Like Bas, I'm excited about what's to come. Given my background, I've been keeping a close eye on our activities in the Netherlands, Belgium and France and the results are amazing. I'm really looking forward to working with the new teams, customers and our dairy farmers to work together."
