DMK satisfied with a little less profit and turnover

June 14, 2021 - Chanti Oussoren

Despite the corona crisis, the DMK Group has had a stable 2020 financial year. The German dairy giant, of which DOC Kaas is a part, is also optimistic about the current year.

In general, despite the challenges of the corona crisis, the DMK Group said it performed well last year, although turnover and profit were slightly lower than in 2019. At €5,6 billion, turnover is below €5,8, 2019 billion in 24,9. At €0,6 million, the net result was approximately €2019 million lower than in 33,8. Solvency remains stable at 2020%. According to DMK, the group was able to keep the payment price to the affiliated dairy farmers stable on an annual basis , while the average milk price for the whole of 2019 decreased compared to XNUMX.

The corona crisis will also leave a clear mark on the dairy market this year, because consumer behavior has changed. However, DMK is optimistic for this year. This is because the year started better than expected in the product markets. As was also clearly apparent in the DCA dairy quotations, they have risen sharply.

Future vision
Despite the challenges of the corona crisis, DMK has not lost sight of the implementation of the milestones set for the 2030 vision. This includes the sale of the ice cream factory in Haaren and the sale of the subsidiary Sanotact, acquisitions and integrations, the construction of a new factory in Russia and the reorganization and modernization of the entire financial area.

With this price, DMK says it is well positioned for future crises, market fluctuations and new opportunities. “2020 has challenged us corona-wise, but has not thrown us off course. We are working out the upcoming projects as part of our strategy – that's what we did in 2020 despite the pandemic and that's what we will do in 2021 ," said CEO Ingo Müller.
