Large barn fire at veal farm in Elspeet

June 15, 2021 - Chanti Oussoren - 3 comments

In Elspeet, this afternoon (15 June), a large fire rages on a farm with calves. Several barns are on fire.

In Elspeet, a large barn fire has been raging at the Oude Hof since this afternoon. The fire brigade has come out with a lot of equipment to fight the fire, but could not prevent three of the seven barns from burning completely. The fire is now under control.

About 250 calves have died, estimates a spokesman for the North and East Gelderland Security Region. A number of calves were also injured. A veterinarian is on site to help injured animals. "As sad as it is, we are happy that we were able to save almost two thirds of the animals because we scaled quickly," said a spokesperson.

Very sad weather, such news does not benefit the sector, Facebook is full of it.
Is there not now something to reduce the causes?
For example, no more solar panels on stables and sprinkler installations
The governments then have to give a large subsidy for this .
The animal parties must be taken out of the sails.

To start with, stop installing air washers and mechanical ventilation. If a fire already starts, a stable will be on fire in no time and there is no stopping it.
A sprinkler system then only creates steam, making it even hotter and the fire brigade can no longer do anything.
There is nothing wrong with solar panels as long as they are connected by decent installers. Unfortunately there are a lot of cowboys on that market.

only heard that about half of the barn fires are caused by rodents that gnaw on the cables but this should not be made public because the rats also need to be protected so all kinds of bullshit are made up to divert attention from the real problem
You can no longer respond.
